‘Untitled’ by Adrian Heath

£1,750.00

Adrian Heath (1920-1992)

Untitled

Pencil and Gouache

Adrian heath was a key figure in post-war British abstraction. Trained at the Slade School of Fine Art, he developed a disciplined yet expressive visual language shaped by constructivist ideas, geometric structure, and a sustained interest in the possibilities of non-figurative painting. His work reflects the wider transformation of British art in the mid-20th century, as artists moved towards abstraction while maintaining a strong sense of compositional order.

Heath’s work is represented in several major public collections, including Tate, the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington D.C., the British Museum, the British Council Collection, and the Arts Council Collection. It is also held by museum collections in Bristol, Leicester, and Glasgow, reflecting his widespread significance within the history of British modern art.
